I teach a 4 hour class at my home in Vancouver, WA. This class is good for the beginning Professional who wants to teach Moms about breastfeeding and to learn about various tools used for teaching in various settings. Class includes the Laws, Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative topics, Surgeon General's Call to Action, breastfeeding basics, feeding positions, feeding methods, nutrition, herbs, common problems, going to work or school, pumping, storing breast milk, and community resources. I use PowerPoint, DVDs, tri-fold, white board, discussion, hands-on skills using dolls, handouts, and lots of items to show to parents the activities and information.
